As a past president of the Portage County Bar Association and a lawyer with more than 40 years of experience, I understand the law, how it works and how clients can use it to their advantage. As someone who has spent time in the hospital with back problems, I can appreciate the challenges that clients have to deal with after being injured in car, truck, motorcycle and other serious accidents.

Building a Strong and Respected Legal Practice
I began practicing law more than 40 years ago. It is nearly impossible to stay in business for that long unless you have a strong work ethic and strive to build lasting relationships with clients, judges, attorneys and other peers in the legal community. Most of my business has come through referrals from past clients and other attorneys who respect what I do for my clients.
In my career, I have been a member of several prestigious boards and have served in leadership roles with various associations. I am currently the Chairman of the Portage County Board of Elections. Previously, I have served as President and Secretary Treasurer of the Portage County Bar Association; as a board member of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers (now called the Ohio Association for Justice); as the Republican Chairman of Portage County; and as a board member of Leadership Portage County, Children's Advocacy Center, Kent Health Board, and was named 2000 Citizen of the year by the Ravenna area Chamber of Commerce.
I also am very active in the communities of Ravenna and Portage County and am a past president of Faith Lutheran Church. I take my responsibilities seriously and I am committed to helping the people of Portage County in many diverse areas.
